Andreas Grav Karlsen

    Andreas has 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry where he mainly focused on rig new builds and upgrades as well as offshore wind projects. He held various positions within engineering, new product development and sales. He has also held a central role in commercialization and development of low carbon solutions towards the oil and gas industry and project execution.


    For the last 2 years Andreas have worked with development of Energy from Waste and CCS projects, organization development before taking over as head of Energy from Waste.

Sean Collins

    Sean has over 15 years experience in energy transition and renewable energy project development. He has worked across the globe on clean energy projects and spoken at the United Nations on multiple occasions relating to energy transition. 


    Sean has led complicated regulatory engagements including securing first geothermal resource rights in Alberta history. Primary experiences have included strategy, legal, governance, commercial negotiations, capital raising, securing off-take agreements, advocacy with all three levels of government, indigenous relations, communications and PR.

Mikael Blom

    Mikael has twenty years of corporate finance experience from various Investment Banks and Advisory Houses in London, UK. Serving clients in the wider utilities and infrastructure space with an increased focus over time on the energy transition agenda, Mikael has advised clients on M&A, capital raisings (debt and equity, public and private) on domestic and cross border transactions across Europe, Asia and North America. 


    He has developed specific expertise in the waste sector, having advised a large number of clients on M&A, capital raisings and restructurings in the Waste to Energy, Biomass and Anaerobic Digestion sectors.

Wayne Carey

    Wayne has over 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector in various leadership roles that has given him experience and success in the design, construction and commissioning of large-scale industrial assets, as well as leading the operations of a diverse portfolio of midstream and terminal facilities.  


    Wayne has led large, diverse groups in both the Project and Operations environment, with a focus on Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence to deliver high performing teams and assets.  


    Most recently Wayne has served as the Chair for the Northeast Capital Industrial Association (NCIA) and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee medal for his work with Women Building Futures (WBF) in developing a Power Engineering program for Women.

Torgeir Segberg

    Torgeir has over 25 years in the offshore oil and gas industry, mainly in offshore drilling equipment, tools and systems. He held had various positions including director of technology development, chief engineer, and product champion. He has significant experience in product commercialization, system engineering, detail engineering, project execution, installation, commissioning, and operation.

Robert Hvide Macleod

  • Chairman

    Mr. Macleod is Chairman of Hans Hvide & Co. He was a partner at Glencore Intl AG from 2006 and served as CEO of Frontline Management for six years. Since 2020 he has focused on Hans Hvide & Co's investments as well as private investments and serves on several Norwegian boards as well as the boards of Monitra Ltd, Oberon Investments Ltd and DS Norden. Mr. Macleod holds a Bsc from Plymouth University, UK.

Paal Skoe

  • Board Member

    Mr. Skoe is CEO of Green Transition Holding, the majority owner of Varme Energy AS. Previously, he held various positions within the Aker Group and was CFO of Norway's leading recycling and environmental services company. Mr. Skoe has 15 years of operational and financial experience with a focus on EPC, product optimisation and management in the oil and gas sector. He holds a Master of Science with a major in Finance from BI, Norway.

Nadia Wiggen

  • Board Member

    Mrs. Wiggen is a Director at Svelland Capital. Previously, she was Senior Vice President at Rystad Energy and a partner at Pareto Securities. Mrs. Wiggen also has more than 15 years of international experience in commodity analysis and trading through positions at Morgan Stanley and Phibro. Mrs. Wiggen holds an MSc from the Stockholm School of Economics, a BSc from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and is a visiting scholar at Harvard University, USA

Erik Holsten

  • Board Member

    Mr. Holsten is a private investor and holds a number of board positions. He has more than 30 years' experience in the financial markets, including 14 years as a senior partner at Pareto Securities. He has extensive expertise in ECM and M&A project finance, primarily in the shipping and oil services sectors. Prior to Pareto, Mr. Holsten worked at Finanshuset/FIBA Nordic Securities and Alfred Berg ABN Amro. Mr. Holsten holds a Master of Economics and Business Administration from BI, Norway.

Einar Brønlund

  • Board Member

    Mr. Brønlund is an experienced executive and has held CEO/COO positions in German industrial companies for over two decades. He has additional experience through international consulting, focusing on strategic change and operational improvement. Throughout his career, his focus has been on industry; engineering, oil & gas equipment, mining & construction equipment, and shipbuilding. Mr. Brønlund has a Master of Science from NTNU and an MBA from IESE, Spain.

    Mr. Andreassen plays a key role for Varme AS, mainly in the UK, and is a director in Green Transition Holding AS. Prior to joining the GTH group of companies, Mr. Andreassen worked in DNB's Investment Banking division and advised clients on several capital markets and M&A transactions, specializing in the energy, waste and cleantech industries in Europe and the US. Mr. Andreassen holds a Master of Business and International Relations from the University of St Andrews, UK.
